At Fust’s central logistics center in Oberbüren, three forklifts were equipped with Alphasense Trackers to analyze internal material flow and traffic patterns.

Rapid Deployment Without Operational Downtime

The installation of the Alphasense Trackers, along with the mapping of the warehouse area, was completed within two hours. No additional infrastructure was required, and ongoing operations were not interrupted. Initially, a 10,000 m² section of the warehouse is being analyzed, with plans to extend coverage to the remaining 80% of the warehouse.

Data Foundation for Operational Analysis

The installed trackers capture positional and shock data from forklifts during daily operations. This data enables Fust to systematically evaluate movement patterns, areas of activity, and traffic flows.

On this basis, Fust can answer questions such as:

• Which warehouse zones experience the highest traffic density?
• Where do bottlenecks occur repeatedly?
• What distances do forklifts travel daily?
• How are forklifts utilized throughout the day?
• Which types of transport tasks are inefficient and potentially avoidable?
• Where and when do shocks and vibrations occur?

Identifying Optimization Opportunities

The insights gained support Fust in reviewing existing workflows and making targeted adjustments where needed. The objective is to increase efficiency in forklift operations while continuously improving warehouse safety.
